Pets without Partners
We are a private organization who believes that every pet deserves a chance at happiness and a warm and loving family. We generally pull dogs from kill shelters when they've reached the end of their time. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome. While Bloodhounds and young unweaned litters are our specialty, we rescue many different breeds. Many times, we network with other rescues so that we can save even more animals from a cruel fate. Far too many animals are dying in our shelters and its our goal to reduce the number of adoptable pets that die needlessly. Once a dog comes into our rescue, it stays with us until the perfect family is found. It will not go to the first person who expresses an interest. It will go to the best home for that pet. We do try to assist the public in placing their own pets if they find they have no other choice. We do ask that you keep your pet in your home if at all possible and we will assist you in finding the perfect new family for your pet. We will post your pets photo on our website, pre screen potential adopters, and send them to you for final approval. We do believe that every pet has worth, therefore, there is an adoption fee attached to every pet.

I adopted Gidget (Bridget) from Laura with Pets Without Partners at Petsmart in Redding on October 31, 2009. She is the best little girl I've ever been blessed with. She's 2 years old and was pregnant when she was rescued by Lauras organization. She came to us depressed from the loss of her old family which I'm sure loved her very much. She also lost a litter of pups which I'm not sure what happened to the pups. But I have a friend who can talk to dogs and hear what they need for us to understand and I took Gidget to talk to her A.S.A.P. Gidget was lost without her old family but is happily adjusting to her new family and she loves all of her new family members and we talk to her about her old family often. This may sound silly to you but they're are living beings as we are and sometimes they need us to help them understand. I very much want to thank Laura and Pets Without Partners cuz she saved the baby of our family and we wouldn't have her if it weren't people like her. She is our Baby and I feel like I was a Partner without a pet to love. But I have Gidget now and I want her old family to know that she is happy and very loved but she does miss her first family and thats just to be expected, we know in our hearts she was very loved by her first family and we'll continue to love her just as much if not more.

On 6-13-09 we were in petsmart to look at adopting a dog. You took out a jack russell terrier (we were not interested in) just to prove a point that the dog was not aggressive around other dogs. You set the dog down with a full loose leash and it attacked our four month old puppy. It tore part of the tip of the ear and also hit a muscle tissue of the ear which will now not let that part of the ear stand as like the other side. All this happened to OUR dog just so YOU could prove a point. I thank you for paying our vet bill, but I hope you have learned a lesson about not putting other dogs at risk.
